Our goal is to uplift bold and progressive voices in the digital world and highlight critical social and political issues that focus on our collective rights. We strive to encompass the voices of oppressed peoples struggling against capitalism, imperialism and racism, activists on the frontlines of the fight against ecocide and LGBTQ+ rights defenders. Our team is made up of passionate journalists, activists, film-makers, authors, writers, and researchers who believe in creating content that is not only entertaining but also thought-provoking and most importantly educational. We believe that people’s media is essential in today’s world, where the interests of corporations and the wealthy often dictate what is reported and how it is framed. The voices and experiences of the oppressed and marginalized are often ignored or misrepresented in mainstream media, which reinforces oppressive power structures and perpetuates inequality. Financed through a combination of sales of our documentaries and donations, red. media is proud to be independent and free from the constraints of corporate or political interests.
